My mum is currently 57 y/o and I know there are policies out there to cater for ppl of her condition & age. However, will it be possible to get term cancer insurance for her as her family history is quite strong in death by cancer ( had 6 uncles, 2 aunts, her grandma & mum all passed on due to cancer). she already has other plans like IP + full rider, PA plans & Hospital cash plan but no CI plan yet . I am still looking into getting the aviva or manulife CI plan for her?

Are you looking at a one time or multipay CI plan - the coverage and premiums would be different for both.
For diabetes - there are plans catered for diabetic patients as highlighted by Hariz but I assume the premiums may be higher
For cancer - from what I understand most insurers normally only consider immediate family members for cancer exclusions. If her mum did not die of cancer that young you may be able to include that cancer as well with loaded premiums.
Overall see what you can afford and ask around before making a decision.
