I think it is possible, but maybe not for the near future as the technology infrastructure has to be in place first!

Also, it's likely to be in stablecoins as well since normal crypto such as BTC or ETH are too volatile for business transactions for the time being.

IMO, fiat and crypto would co-exist at least for the forseeable fuure. As of now the scalability isnt there yet for blockchains such as Bitcoin as a global currency
