Anyone here a fan of AirBnB IPO? It seems like a very unstable stock to buy into so would be interesting to read what the Community has to say. Thoughts?

Hi there anon, we did an analysis on Airbnb here at the end of last year. Over the long run, Airbnb should continue doing well as it has a network effect.

Its network effect gives Airbnb its competitive advantage. When a new host or guest comes on board its platform, its business becomes more valuable. As its network grows, new hosts will join, which in turn will attract even more guests. And off the flywheel goes.

Airbnb's business is also highly cash generative.

But of course, in the short-term, there are headwinds in the travel sector with international travel still largely curbed.

Seems like a super hyped stock like palantir. Will not buy for now, I think travel won't resume soon yet
