A place that my family occasionally visits is at Woodlands Terrace, where there are many food factory outlets with wholesale bargains. Ranging from frozen seafood, yong tau foo ingredients, steamboat ingredients to even tempeh too! Some of the retailers have an online presence too so you can order online.

You can try going to those neighbourhood shop and buy stuffs in bulk. I used to buy from them when I was near an outlet, bough toilet papers and daily neccessities in bulk and they charge me cheaper. On average, it save $1-$2 per piece. It's quite worth it, taking into consideration that these stuffs won't expire.
Otherwise, go for housebrand. I saw a Youtube video that compare house brand to normal brand, house brand stuffs actually works better for some of them. I mean NTUC house brand btw.
