Anyone rejected a promotion because the extra salary wasn't worth managing people?

I have been actively telling my bosses that I do not want to promote anymore. I plan to retire in the next few years. Therefore, my commitment to my bosses are i will train my successors to takenover my role. And my staff knows that they have a career to fill.

Yes I did not want promotion to AM, and this option is not for most people. I am single so I am not too desperate for higher income, plus, introverted me hates human beings lol. Humans are all too complicated and most aren't really nice and all. I rather stay away from managing such people.
